Lent & Easter 2025

Shaped and Formed is an invitation to intentionally place ourselves in God’s hands throughout Lent, Holy Week and Easter Sunday, allowing Him to shape and form us as we journey toward the cross.

Lent

Lent is a 40-day journey leading up to Easter—a time of reflection, prayer, and spiritual renewal where we intentionally make space for God to shape us, just as Jesus prepared for the cross.

This Lent, we want to create space for you to slow down, reflect, and be shaped by God. We’re inviting you to journey with us—through our Sunday gatherings, HUNGRY nights of prayer and worship, and ‘IMPRINT’, a brand-new resource designed to help you engage with Lent in a deeper way.

Sunday Teaching

‘War of Desires’

Starting Sunday 9th March, 10:00am & 6:00pm Gatherings

Our lives follow what we love most. When our desires are misdirected—toward success, approval, or control—our lives become misaligned. But Jesus calls us to a love that reorders everything. In this series, we’ll confront the desires that pull us away from Him and discover the freedom, clarity, and purpose that come when He is our first love.

Hungry

Wednesdays throughout Lent

This Lent, set aside Wednesday evenings to seek more of God’s presence by prayer. ‘Hungry’ is a space to lean into the things of the Spirit, worship without hurry, and pray with intention—for our community, our city, and the world around us. Whether you come full of faith or full of questions, these nights are an invitation to draw near, listen, and respond to God.

Holy Week

Holy Week is the name given to the week beginning on Palm Sunday and ending on Easter Sunday. It is a journey through the final days of Jesus’ life—from His triumphant entry into Jerusalem to the Last Supper, His arrest, crucifixion, and ultimately, His resurrection. It’s a time to slow down, reflect, and step deeper into the story of Jesus, remembering His sacrifice and the hope it brings.

Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week—the moment Jesus entered Jerusalem to shouts of joy and expectation. But the road to Easter isn’t what anyone expected.

Join us for our Sunday gathering as we step into the story, reflecting on what it means to welcome Jesus not just with our words, but with our lives. Plus, our Adventurers Easter Party will be in full swing, making it a joyful morning for all ages!

Sunday 13th April, 10:00am

Maundy Thursday

Thursday 17th April, St Helen’s Church, 4:00pm & 7:30pm

On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus gathered with His friends for a meal, served them in humility, and spoke of the love that would define His kingdom. Maundy Thursday is a chance to step into that moment and prepare our hearts for what is to come.

4:00pm - Families with little ones and young people are invited to a hands-on, interactive gathering, including Build Your Own Pizza as we explore the meaning of the Last Supper together.

7:30pm - We’ll journey with Jesus to the garden of gethsemane. With dramatic readings, interactive prayers and a change of space. Please bring a coat.

Good Friday

Good Friday is a day to pause, remember, and sit with the weight of the cross. It’s a day of sorrow, yet one that points us toward hope.

From 10am-2pm, St Helen’s Church will be open as a reflective space for all ages and stages, created in partnership with Lightbox. Whether you want to engage creatively, pray quietly, or simply be, you’re welcome to drop in at any time.

Then at 7:30pm, in our All Saints Building we’ll gather for an evening of reflection, moving through the story of Jesus’ final hours with scripture, silence, and song. As the light fades, we’ll sit in the tension of Good Friday—holding onto hope as we wait for Easter morning.

Friday 18th April

Easter Sunday

Sunday 20th April, 10:00am

Easter Sunday is a moment of celebration, renewal, and hope—and you’re invited to be part of it. Our whole-church gathering will be a time to come together, witness lives changed through baptism, and step into the story of resurrection.
