Lent & Easter 2025

Shaped and Formed is an invitation to intentionally place ourselves in God’s hands throughout Lent, Holy Week and Easter Sunday, allowing Him to shape and form us as we journey toward the cross.

Holy Week

Holy Week is the name given to the week beginning on Palm Sunday and ending on Easter Sunday. It is a journey through the final days of Jesus’ life—from His triumphant entry into Jerusalem to the Last Supper, His arrest, crucifixion, and ultimately, His resurrection. It’s a time to slow down, reflect, and step deeper into the story of Jesus, remembering His sacrifice and the hope it brings.

Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week—the moment Jesus entered Jerusalem to shouts of joy and expectation. But the road to Easter isn’t what anyone expected.

Join us for our Sunday gathering as we step into the story, reflecting on what it means to welcome Jesus not just with our words, but with our lives. Plus, our Adventurers Easter Party will be in full swing, making it a joyful morning for all ages!

Maundy Thursday

Thursday 17th April, St Helen’s Church, 4:00pm & 7:30pm

On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus gathered with His friends for a meal, served them in humility, and spoke of the love that would define His kingdom. Maundy Thursday is a chance to step into that moment and prepare our hearts for what is to come.

4:00pm - Families with little ones and young people are invited to a hands-on, interactive gathering, including Build Your Own Pizza as we explore the meaning of the Last Supper together.

7:30pm - We’ll journey with Jesus to the garden of gethsemane. With dramatic readings, interactive prayers and a change of space. Please bring a coat.

Good Friday

Good Friday is a day to pause, remember, and sit with the weight of the cross. It’s a day of sorrow, yet one that points us toward hope.

From 10am to 3.30pm, St Helen’s Church will be open as a reflective space for all ages. Whether you want to engage creatively, pray quietly, or simply be, you’re welcome to drop in at any time.

From 1.30-3.30pm there will be a Lightbox pop-up for youth in Cathedral Square.

Then at 7.30pm, in our All Saints Building we’ll gather for an evening of reflection, moving through the story of Jesus’ final hours with scripture, silence, and song. As the light fades, we’ll sit in the tension of Good Friday—holding onto hope as we wait for Easter morning.
